Now in the forecast budget the money for the former train station Bassa Atesina Alto Adige

make ends meet

NOW. The Municipality of Ora has been forced to take control of its finances in order to be able to make ends meet and update investment priorities due to high-priced bills, dissatisfaction over the Province's decision to not proceed with the removal from the list of south tyrolean municipalities with a high percentage of vacant lodgings ("Actually we have a small number," the defense of the municipal administration), and routine currents.

In the presentation of the estimated budget, which was approved by the municipal council, the mayor of Ora, Martin Feichter, highlighted the trend of the previous few months for the municipality. Despite the fact that the overall situation is anything but calm and the increases have also affected the municipal administrations, expectations for 2023 remain high.

The junta has decided to spend a little less on new investments than in the past, but the planned projects are still numerous and significant. The first is the development of the turbine for the generation of electricity.

On the aqueduct section from Glen to St., the mayor has given the council an update. Daniel, which is currently being renovated and to which a turbine will soon be attached to generate electricity.

According to the mayor, work has already begun on the order for the development of the implementation project. The water network along the Sant'Urbano and Casignano areas, however, will also be fixed, and another maintenance operation will be promoted on the water collection tank, which is presently situated in a small portion of the nearby municipality of Montagna.

With 240 thousand euros and the guarantee of the State, which allocates a contribution equal to 80% of the costs, the community development program is also one of the tangible guarantees that the Municipality can afford. But what exactly is it about? It is simply the agreement that the Municipality of Ora, along with the administrations of Egna and Salorno, signed at the end of August after receiving approval from the municipal council.

That is, a plan that contains the indicators needed for urban development without causing it to further reduce the available space for the environment. Still on the topic of priorities, 250,000 euros are available to repair the roof of the nursing home for the elderly, and another 670,000 euros are needed to build a tome wall to protect the nearby commercial area in via Lahn. "We are convinced that the funds from the reconstruction plan will arrive," says Feichter, who also announces that the project to restore the former railway station that connects to the val di fiemme is once again on the table.

Due to the loss of the Pnrr train, the Municipality was left in the position of having to handle everything by themselves. At this time, they anticipate paying out approximately 140,000 euros.
